The Story of Art by a Shopping Cart

Year: 2023

"The Story of Art by a Shopping Cart" is a project that intertwines the threads of consumerism, artificial intelligence, and classical art narratives, all through the lens of a futuristic tribe. This tribe, equipped with VR headsets, navigates the latent spaces of AI to reimagine and experience iconic artworks as immersive realities.

In this project, I've reinterpreted timeless masterpieces such as "Saturn Devouring His Son," "The Pied Piper of Hamelin," and "David and Goliath," infusing them with themes of consumption and the divine influence of synthetic deities crafted by humanity's own hands. These scenes are not just visual spectacles but are conceptualized to provoke thought on how AI shapes our understanding and consumption of art.

The VR headsets are symbolic, representing the contemporary filters through which we perceive and interact with the world—virtual layers that both distance us from and draw us deeper into the artistic experience. This series prompts viewers to consider how technology can both distort and enhance our connection to art, history, and the myths we've created.
