electric fangs
The living, breathing human body is a vessel for desires; the brain artificially reshaped by the flickering light of Electric Fangs.
In May 2022, I created a generative art collection titled "Electric Fangs," consisting of 202 unique pieces depicting various mouths with fangs. Each work in the series was distinct, allowing collectors to mint an individual piece.
"Electric Fangs" serves as a metaphor for our relentless pursuit of digital recognition, likening our craving for online interaction to the primal hunger of vampires for their lifeblood. This collection was not just an artistic endeavor but a commentary on the digital age's impact on human desire and behavior.
The collection was launched on May 2, 2021, available on the fxhash marketplace and minted on the Tezos blockchain. Limited to 202 editions, "Electric Fangs" became a digital mirror reflecting our transformed selves—our identities increasingly defined by the glow of screens and the validation of likes, shares, and follows. Each mouth with its gleaming fangs became a symbol of the new digital appetite, one that is constantly seeking more in the ever-expanding virtual landscape.
The "Electric Fangs" collection started with an acrylic painting I made, showing a bright yellow set of fangs on a dark background.
