SAM-o is an iPhone & Android app. It generates random faces & sounds on your phone.

SAM-o performs critique by showing the reproduction of the new, in the form of cartoons “friends.” Also, there is a cycle of repetition represented by the randomization of friend faces. The ludic function of the eternal recurrence is pushed toward the most absurd form and the so-called content of app-culture evaporates thus showing its true colors as JAMS (just-another-marketing-scheme)

I developed the app and the character faces. I did the Creative & Design campaign for the app including a 1 minute video.

The soundtrack was composed by David Kamp
